Improved Services in Whistler

August 2008

Training Innovations is pleased to announce that we will be expanding our services in the Sea to Sky Corridor by opening a small office in Whistler. Over the past year we have been experiencing increased demand for employment services in the Corridor. We have recently come to agreement with Service Canada to expand our existing Howe Sound ERC contract and are planning to open a new office in the fall. We will continue offering outreach services on a weekly basis in Whistler until the center is open.

Australian Association of Career Counsellors National Conference

March 26-28, 2008

Tannis Goddard was invited to deliver four presentations at the AACC National Conference in Hobart, Tasmania in March 2008. The theme of the conference is "Career Landscape: From Island to Global". Tannis will be sharing her expertise in online career counselling and how to construct individual career stories in a global environment.

IAEVG Conference: Guidance and Diversity

Tannis Goddard was invited to present at the International Association for Educational and Vocational Guidance Conference (IAEVG) in Padova, Italy from September 4-6, 2007. This conference brings together academics and practitioners from around the world for an exchange of ideas on how to integrate and to handle diversity in educational and vocational guidance. Tannis is sharing her expertise in Online Career Counselling.

Tannis Goddard Joins ENET Board of Directors

Congratulations to Tannis Goddard for her successful nomination to the ENET Society Board of Directors. Tannis will represent ENET at the Labour Market Development Agreement (LMDA) Alliance and will act as National and International Liaison for ENET. Tannis is committed to helping the organization form a strong voice for career practitioner professional development over the coming year as BC's certification process is implemented.

National Career Development Association Conference

July 6-8, 2007

Tannis Goddard was invited to present at this national conference taking place in Seattle from July 6-8, 2007. Tannis is delivering a full day session in the Professional Development Institute (PDI) called “e-Volving Practice: Designing & Integrating Collaborative Online Career Development Services”. Tannis is also delivering a workshop called “Facilitated Online Career Development Services: Myths, Realities & Emerging Trends”.

BC Career Development Recognizes its Best!

The Individual Category (shared) was awarded to Tannis Goddard, Founder and President of Training Innovations and Gregg Taylor, President of Transitions Career and Business Consultants Inc.
